This 10-night liveaboard explores the central atolls of the Maldives, emphasizing diverse marine life. It includes iconic sites for manta rays and whale sharks, alongside thrilling channel and night dives. The route covers North Male, South Male, Vaavu, South Ari, Rasdhoo, and Baa atolls.

Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Arrival and Check Dive

    North Male Atoll

    Guests arrive at Velana International Airport (MLE) and transfer to the liveaboard. After settling in, a check dive is conducted to ensure everyone is comfortable with their gear.

    Dive sites: Kurumba House Reef

  2. Day 2: Male Atoll Exploration

    North Male Atoll

    Morning dives at coral gardens, followed by an afternoon drift along a vibrant thila known for schooling fish. The day concludes with an exciting night dive.

    Dive sites: Kuda Thila, Banana Reef, Wreck of the Maldives Victory

  3. Day 3: Vaavu Atoll Channels

    Vaavu Atoll

    We traverse to Vaavu Atoll, famous for its strong currents and abundant pelagic life. Dives focus on thrilling channel entrances with potential for sharks and eagle rays.

    Dive sites: Fotteyo Kandu, Myaru Kandu, Felu Thila

  4. Day 4: Alimatha Night Dive

    Vaavu Atoll

    Morning and afternoon dives explore colorful reefs and pinnacles. The highlight is the legendary Alimatha night dive, attracting nurse sharks and stingrays.

    Dive sites: Devana Kandu, Vashugiri, Alimatha Jetty

  5. Day 5: Journey to Rasdhoo

    Rasdhoo Atoll

    Transition to Rasdhoo Atoll, known for its hammerhead opportunities. Dives are planned around dawn for the best chance to spot these magnificent creatures.

    Dive sites: Rasdhoo Madivaru (Hammerhead Point), Rasdhoo Channel, Madivaru Corner

  6. Day 6: Ari Atoll - Thilas and Manta

    North Ari Atoll

    Explore the iconic thilas of North Ari Atoll, teeming with reef sharks, schooling fusiliers, and vibrant soft corals. Look for cleaning stations for manta rays.

    Dive sites: Maaya Thila, Fish Head (Mushimasmingili Thila), Halaveli Wreck

  7. Day 7: Whale Sharks of South Ari

    South Ari Atoll

    Focus on the protected waters of South Ari Atoll, a known aggregation area for whale sharks. Dives and snorkeling excursions are dedicated to finding these gentle giants.

    Dive sites: Mamigili Beyru (Whale Shark area), Kudarah Thila, Broken Rock

  8. Day 8: Baa Atoll & Hanifaru Bay

    Baa Atoll

    Move to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll. If in season and conditions allow, a snorkeling excursion to Hanifaru Bay for manta rays and whale sharks is planned.

    Dive sites: Dhonfanu Thila, Nelivaru Reef, Hanifaru Bay (snorkeling only, subject to regulations)

  9. Day 9: North Male Drift

    North Male Atoll

    Return towards North Male Atoll, enjoying exhilarating drift dives along outer reefs and channels. Expect strong currents and abundant pelagic action.

    Dive sites: Girifushi Thila (HP Reef), Lion's Head, Okobe Thila

  10. Day 10: Final Dives & Cruise Back

    North Male Atoll

    Two final dives are conducted in the morning, followed by a leisurely cruise back to the port. Guests can relax and enjoy the Maldivian scenery.

    Dive sites: Embudhoo Express, Guraidhoo Corner

  11. Day 11: Departure

    Male

    After breakfast, guests disembark the liveaboard and are transferred to Velana International Airport for their onward journey.
