Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation – Hurghada

    Board the vessel Blue Horizon in Hurghada at 18:00. Guests will be welcomed with dinner and receive important orientation briefings for the upcoming dive adventure. Settle into cabins and prepare for the journey ahead.

  2. Day 2: Local Diving – Hurghada Area

    Today features dives at sites local to the embarkation port before heading out to the marine parks. Enjoy a morning dive, a practice zodiac dive, and a sunset or night dive, allowing for a gradual introduction to the Red Sea's underwater environment. The Hurghada area typically offers diverse reef systems and opportunities for various reef fish and occasional larger pelagics.

  3. Day 3: Brothers Islands – Drift Diving & Pelagics

    Spend the day diving around the Brothers Islands, renowned for their spectacular drop-offs and untouched marine life. These islands offer nutrient-rich currents, which attract a high density of pelagic species. The area is known for numerous schooling fish, healthy coral formations, and frequent sightings of sharks.

  4. Day 4: Brothers Islands – Wrecks & Reef Sharks

    Continue exploring the Brothers Islands, focusing on both the impressive wreck sites and the vibrant reef systems. Big Brother is home to several wrecks, including the Numidia, an cargo steamer, and the Aida. These sites often feature strong currents, attracting grey reef sharks, oceanic whitetip sharks, and other large pelagics, alongside rich soft coral growth.

  5. Day 5: Daedalus Reef – Hammerhead Hotspot

    Dive the iconic Daedalus Reef, a large, isolated offshore reef known for its incredible biodiversity and strong currents that attract schooling hammerhead sharks, especially during summer months. The sheer walls are adorned with colorful hard corals and vibrant soft corals, creating a dramatic backdrop for encounters with pelagic species like mantas and various sharks.

  6. Day 6: Elphinstone Reef – Shark Encounters & Coral Walls

    Explore Elphinstone Reef, a legendary site known for its dramatic walls, overhangs, and deep southern plateau. This iconic reef often provides encounters with oceanic whitetip sharks and occasionally scalloped hammerheads, particularly in the autumn. Healthy hard and soft corals cover the reef, attracting a rich ecosystem of marine life.

  7. Day 7: Local Diving – Port Ghalib Area & Disembarkation Prep

    Enjoy two relaxed morning dives in the vicinity of the disembarkation area before cruising back to Port Ghalib. This allows for a final underwater experience, perhaps visiting local reefs known for their vibrant fish life and healthy coral gardens. In the early afternoon, the vessel will dock, providing time to prepare for departure and explore local offerings.

  8. Day 8: Disembarkation – Port Ghalib, Egypt

    After breakfast, guests prepare to leave the vessel in Port Ghalib, Egypt with disembarkation between 09:00 and 10:00 a.m. The crew assists with departure arrangements and onward airport transfers where applicable.
