Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation in Malé

    Malé

    Guests are welcomed aboard the vessel at the Malé airport and transferred to the boat. After settling into the cabins, there will be a general boat orientation and safety briefing. The evening is for assembling dive gear and relaxing before dinner.

    Good to know: No diving on arrival day. Check-in is between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

  2. Day 2: Check Dive & Crossing to Rasdhoo

    North Malé Atoll

    The day begins with a check dive to ensure all divers are comfortable and equipment is functioning correctly. Following the first dives in North Malé atoll, the boat will begin its crossing towards Rasdhoo Atoll. This day serves to acclimate everyone to the diving procedures.

  3. Day 3: Diving in Rasdhoo Atoll

    Rasdhoo Atoll

    Diving in Rasdhoo Atoll is characterized by strong currents and exciting channel dives. The day often includes an early morning search for schooling hammerhead sharks out in the blue. The remainder of the day is spent exploring the atoll's thrilling underwater topography.

  4. Day 4: Crossing to North Ari Atoll

    North Ari Atoll

    After a potential final dive in Rasdhoo, the vessel cruises towards the famous Ari Atoll. The diving plan for the day will focus on the sites in the northern part of Ari. This area is renowned for its beautiful reefs and marine biodiversity.

    Good to know: Dive count may be reduced due to the crossing time between atolls.

  5. Day 5: North Ari Atoll's Manta Encounters

    North Ari Atoll

    A full day is dedicated to exploring the dive sites of North Ari Atoll. The dives will often target known manta ray cleaning stations, offering incredible opportunities to observe these graceful creatures. The reefs here are vibrant and teeming with fish life.

  6. Day 6: Journey through Central Ari Atoll

    Ari Atoll

    The boat travels southwards through the heart of Ari Atoll. Today's dives will explore some of the submerged pinnacles, or 'thilas', that make this atoll a classic Maldivian destination. These sites act as magnets for a high concentration of marine life.

    Good to know: This itinerary takes place over Christmas. Expect festive meals and a special atmosphere on board.

  7. Day 7: South Ari's Whale Sharks

    South Ari Atoll

    The focus shifts to the southern end of Ari Atoll, a world-renowned hotspot for whale shark sightings. The day's itinerary is planned around the best chances to find and dive or snorkel with these gentle giants. The area's reefs also offer excellent diving.

    Good to know: A special Christmas dinner may be held on deck, weather permitting.

  8. Day 8: Crossing to Vaavu Atoll

    Vaavu Atoll

    After a final morning dive in Ari Atoll, the journey continues with a crossing to Vaavu Atoll. An afternoon dive will introduce the thrilling channel diving that this region is famous for. Get ready for fast-paced drifts and big fish action.

    Good to know: Longer crossing in the middle of the day.

  9. Day 9: Vaavu Atoll Channel Dives

    Vaavu Atoll

    Experience a full day of action-packed drift diving in Vaavu Atoll's channels. These passages attract grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and dense schools of jacks and fusiliers. The currents provide an exhilarating experience for advanced divers.

  10. Day 10: Vaavu Atoll & Famous Night Dive

    Vaavu Atoll

    The daytime is spent further exploring Vaavu's dynamic marine ecosystem. In the evening, the trip's signature night dive takes place. This dive is famous for attracting large numbers of resident nurse sharks and rays, creating a truly unforgettable spectacle.

    Good to know: Includes one of the trip's scheduled night dives.

  11. Day 11: Voyage to Remote Meemu Atoll

    Meemu Atoll

    The vessel navigates further south to the remote and less-visited Meemu Atoll. A morning dive may be conducted in Vaavu before the crossing. The first dive in Meemu will be at a pristine site, offering a sense of true exploration.

    Good to know: Crossing to a more remote southern atoll.

  12. Day 12: Exploring Pristine Meemu

    Meemu Atoll

    Enjoy a full day of diving in the secluded channels and reefs of Meemu Atoll. This area is known for its healthy corals and excellent chances for encounters with large pelagic fish. The sites are typically uncrowded, providing an exclusive diving experience.

  13. Day 13: Journey North towards Malé

    South Malé Atoll

    The boat begins its return journey north, with dives planned along the way. Depending on the captain's plan and conditions, dives may take place in the eastern channels of Vaavu or the southern part of South Malé Atoll. This day involves a significant amount of travel.

  14. Day 14: Final Dive & Malé City Visit

    South Malé Atoll

    A single final dive is conducted in the morning, allowing for a safe 24-hour no-fly interval before departure. After the dive, equipment is rinsed and dried as the boat returns to the anchorage near the capital. In the afternoon, guests have the option to visit and explore Malé city.

    Good to know: The last dive is scheduled for around 8:00 AM. A farewell dinner is held in the evening.

  15. Day 15: Disembarkation

    Malé

    Following a light breakfast, guests will check out and be transferred to Velana International Airport for their onward flights. The crew will assist with luggage and farewells. It is time to head home with memories of an extensive Maldivian adventure.

    Good to know: Check-out is before 08:30 AM.
