Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Welcome to The Spice Islands – Tulehu

    Guests will be warmly welcomed by the Aliikai Voyage crew and transferred to the port in Tulehu. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink and settle into your cabin. An initial safety briefing will be conducted, followed by an afternoon dedicated to snorkeling, swimming, and relaxation around Moana Island. This day is focused on getting acquainted with the vessel and the stunning surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Run Island – Banda Neira Exploration

    Following breakfast, the journey continues towards Run Island, a significant site in the historic Spice Trade. Guests will visit Rumah Besi, an old Dutch warehouse used to process nutmeg, before transferring to Banda Neira. Here, enjoy a leisurely walk through a nutmeg plantation, accompanied by an expert from the Cruise Director team. The remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring the vibrant underwater world between Neilaka and Run, known for its pristine corals and diverse smaller reef inhabitants, culminating in an al fresco dinner under the stars.

  3. Day 3: Ai Island – Fort Belgica History

    Today's itinerary focuses on Ai Island, where the morning begins with a visit to the historical sites of Banda Neira, including the impressive Fort Belgica. This fort, a symbol of colonial power, offers panoramic views of the island. After exploring the Dutch Reform Church and Museum, guests will return to the Aliikai for lunch. The afternoon is reserved for relaxing and various leisure activities, with the option to enjoy the upper deck for stunning views under the stars.

  4. Day 4: Banda Besar – Historical Nutmeg and Local Life

    The morning begins with breakfast aboard before sailing to Banda Besar. This island played a critical role in the Spice Trade, notably for its nutmeg production dating back to 1674. Guests will participate in a modern-day nutmeg harvesting demonstration and learn about the lives of the local inhabitants. A delicious lunch will be served on board, followed by an afternoon of diving and snorkeling at Batu Hanges North, known for its healthy reefs and potential for pelagic sightings.

  5. Day 5: Hatta and Sahil Island – Watersports Fun

    This day is dedicated to watersports and pure relaxation amidst the picturesque beauty of Hatta and Sahil Islands. Guests will enjoy dive and snorkel excursions around these idyllic islands, which are characterized by vibrant coral gardens and a variety of reef fish. The crew will set up the Aliikai Voyage beach setup, complete with comfortable loungers, umbrellas, towels, and beverages, ensuring a luxurious experience. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards will also be available for those who wish to explore the serene waters.

  6. Day 6: Pulau Suanggi – Diverse Marine Encounters

    The morning offers another excellent opportunity for diving and snorkeling around Pulau Suanggi, a site renowned for its abundant marine life. Divers can expect to encounter schools of snappers, bluefin trevally, and whitetip reef sharks, indicating a healthy and active ecosystem. Snorkelers will also delight in the island's fringed reef, which teems with colorful marine life. Later in the afternoon, the vessel will continue its journey towards Nusa Laut, preparing for the next day's adventures.

  7. Day 7: Nusa Laut - Saparua – Historical Fort and Coral Reefs

    The final full day of the itinerary is dedicated to exploring the dive sites around Nusa Laut, a destination celebrated for its breathtaking hard corals and vibrant marine life. Divers can anticipate encountering a rich diversity of reef fish and invertebrates within these pristine underwater gardens. In the afternoon, time permitting, guests will go ashore to visit Duurstede Fort, a historical landmark that played a key role in the clove trade. Afterward, the boat will sail back to Tulehu Port.

  8. Day 8: Disembark in Tulehu Port

    After a final breakfast on board, guests will bid farewell to the crew and their fellow travelers. Transfers to the airport will be arranged for onward flights, concluding a memorable voyage through the heart of the Spice Islands.
