Upon arrival at Sorong airport, you will be met by the Aliikai Voyage crew and transferred to the harbor. After a short 20-minute drive, you'll board the Aliikai Voyage and cruise towards the islands of Raja Ampat. Lunch will be served on deck, with some time allocated for snorkeling or a check dive before settling into your cabin. The evening concludes with a magnificent sunset and dinner under the stars.
Today focuses on the beautiful Penemu Islands, characterized by dramatic limestone domes draped in lush vegetation. Divers will explore a shallow bay and a winding trail that leads to a stunning overlook, offering panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the ocean. The area is known for its diverse marine life and intricate coral gardens, including sea turtles, manta rays, and large schools of fish. Often, sites here feature sloping reefs and bommies with moderate currents.
This day is dedicated to exploring The Passage, a unique waterway acclaimed for its incredible biodiversity. The area is home to stunning Elusive Birds and other avian species, offering excellent bird-watching opportunities. Underwater, the magnificent mushroom islands of Kabui Bay create a spectacular backdrop for dives, with strong currents often bringing nutrient-rich waters. The sites typically feature vibrant soft coral walls and diverse macro life.
The day begins with exploration around the Kri Peninsula, a renowned spot for its vibrant coral reefs and rich marine life. Snorkelers can enjoy the mangroves or kayak on tranquil waters, observing pygmy seahorses and other macro critters. The area is known for its extensive hard and soft coral systems, which often feature gentle slopes and walls with mild currents. The region often teems with schooling fish and various reef sharks.
Today explores the iconic Wayag Islands, an intricate maze of lush green peaks rising from multi-hued azure water. This quintessential landscape of Raja Ampat offers a spectacular backdrop for water sports and beach time. Guests can climb the island peaks for breathtaking panoramic views of the turquoise waterways or relax on one of the deserted beaches. The area is also ideal for experiencing spectacular sunsets.
The vessel anchors in Wofoh, an area featuring two islands connected by a shallow reef, providing an idyllic setting for beachcombing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Wofoh is also home to a magnificent coral wall that plunges into clear blue waters. This site is known for its stunning views of brightly colored sea life, often including barrel sponges and multicolored soft and hard corals. Divers can expect diverse reef topography, from sloping walls to pinnacles, with mild to moderate currents.
Today's expedition focuses on the waters near Arborek Island, where majestic Manta Rays gather to feed on plankton-rich currents along the Dampier Strait. Divers can anticipate incredible encounters with these gentle giants. After a delicious lunch, guests can go ashore to explore Arborek village, one of the small local communities in Raja Ampat. The day concludes as Aliikai Voyage begins its crossing back to Sorong, arriving in the evening.
After a final breakfast on board, the crew will assist you with disembarking Aliikai and transferring you back to the airport to catch your flight home. Please note that the last dive is scheduled for the penultimate day of the trip, and a 24-hour waiting period is recommended before flying after your last dive.
