This Red Sea itinerary explores the iconic northern reefs and wrecks accessible from Safaga and Soma Bay. Divers will encounter vibrant coral gardens, diverse reef fish, and a strong chance for pelagic sightings, including dolphins, especially at sites like Dolphin House. The route offers a rich historical dive experience with multiple acclaimed wrecks, notably the SS Thistlegorm and Abu Nuhas, alongside impressive reef systems at Ras Mohamed and the Giftun Islands. Expect generally good visibility and warm waters, ideal for experiencing both captivating history and abundant marine life.
Safaga / Soma Bay (harbour)
Guests arrive by evening and check in on board Alia Soul. The first night is spent in port at Safaga / Soma Bay.
Abu Hasheesh / Shaab El Erg
Sail north towards Hurghada. Check dive at Abu Hasheesh bay. Continue to Shaab El Erg (Dolphin House) for an evening / night dive.

Abu Nuhas / Shaab Mahmoudat
Two to three wreck dives at Abu Nuhas (Giannis D, Carnatic, Chrisoula K, Kimon M). Short sail to Shaab Mahmoudat for a night dive (Dunraven, 15–30 m).

Ras Mohamed / SS Thistlegorm
Long sail to Ras Mohamed National Park. Dives at Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef. Afternoon sail to SS Thistlegorm for the first dive on the WWII cargo ship.

SS Thistlegorm / Gobal Island
One or two further dives on Thistlegorm. Move to Gobal Island in the Strait of Gubal for reef dives and a night dive.

Rosalie Möller / Abu Nuhas
Dive the Rosalie Möller (coal freighter, 30–50 m) — weather permitting. Return to Abu Nuhas for an optional afternoon wreck dive.

Small Giftun / Umm Gamar / Soma Bay harbour
Two dives at Small Giftun (colourful coral gardens) and Umm Gamar (caves, canyons; at 15 m remains of Hans Hass shark cage). Return to Soma Bay / Safaga.

Guests check out of Alia Soul by 10:00. Transfers are provided to Hurghada airport. This marks the end of the SCUBA-DIVING trip.
