About Snefro Spirit

The Red Sea's submerged reef systems and dramatic drop-offs provide a dynamic environment for marine life, attracting divers to its diverse ecosystems.

Intense sunlight penetrates the calm surface of the Red Sea, fueling some of the world's most resilient coral gardens. This narrow sea, a deep trench flanked by arid desert, creates an isolated marine environment where life has evolved with distinct characteristics. Its waters are warmer and saltier than the open ocean, fostering hard and soft coral growth of incredible density and color. This is the world explored by Snefro Spirit, a vessel designed to grant divers intimate access to the region's famous drop-offs, vibrant reefs, and significant historical wrecks. The diving operations are organized for efficiency and comfort. The main dive deck provides individual gear stations and a large, shaded area for preparation, minimizing sun exposure before the dive. From here, divers are ferried to the most advantageous entry points by two capable Zodiac tenders, each powered by a 25 horsepower outboard. This system allows for precise drop-offs at the edges of dramatic walls or directly over wreck sites, maximizing bottom time on the most interesting features. An experienced team of dive guides leads all excursions, sharing their deep knowledge of the local underwater topography and marine life behavior. Guest accommodation is split between two decks to provide both privacy and convenience. The lower deck houses eight twin-berth cabins, while the upper deck features a spacious master suite with a queen bed. All nine cabins are climate-controlled with individual air conditioning and include private, en-suite bathroom facilities. When not diving, guests can gather in the air-conditioned lounge and salon, an inviting space with refined wood floors for reviewing photos or socializing. For those preferring the open air, the vessel offers multiple outdoor spaces, including shaded lounge areas and a top-level sky deck for sunbathing and enjoying expansive sea views. Onboard dining is a vital part of the liveaboard experience, replenishing energy between dives. The galley team prepares a varied menu served in the main salon, offering a mix of international and local Egyptian flavors. Meals are typically served buffet-style, providing a wide selection to suit different tastes and appetites. This communal dining setup fosters a friendly atmosphere where guests can share stories from their day's dives. The crew is accustomed to accommodating various dietary requirements, and guests are encouraged to communicate any specific needs in advance. Snefro Spirit is a 32.9-meter motor yacht with a generous 7.9-meter beam, providing a stable and spacious platform for Red Sea voyages. Originally constructed in 2008, the vessel underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2024 to update its systems and guest amenities. Its hull is propelled by a reliable twin-engine configuration, ensuring dependable power for navigating between distant dive regions. The vessel's design, combined with its substantial size, contributes to passenger comfort, particularly during the open-water crossings characteristic of southern itineraries. With a capacity for just 18 guests, the boat maintains an uncrowded feel throughout the journey. The vessel operates a schedule of classic Red Sea itineraries, covering the celebrated northern wrecks and reefs as well as the legendary southern marine parks. Departures are typically from the main Egyptian ports, offering convenient access to world-renowned sites in the Ras Mohamed National Park, the Straits of Tiran, and the deep south's pelagic-rich locations. Snefro Spirit is well-suited for divers who appreciate a purpose-built, comfortable vessel with a focus on a well-organized dive program. It appeals to both individuals and small groups seeking to explore the full spectrum of Red Sea diving, from historical wreck exploration to thrilling drift dives along deep coral walls.
