About this route

This liveaboard trip explores some of the most famous dive destinations in Thailand's Andaman Sea. The journey begins and ends at Thap Lamu Pier, taking divers to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and the renowned Richelieu Rock. Guests can expect to see dramatic underwater landscapes with granite formations, vibrant reefs, and potential encounters with large marine life such as manta rays and whale sharks. The itinerary is designed to showcase a wide variety of marine biodiversity, from macro critters to large pelagic species.

Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation & Departure

    Thap Lamu Pier

    Guests are picked up from their hotels in the late afternoon and transferred to Thap Lamu Pier. After arriving at the pier, there is a welcome reception with drinks and snacks, followed by equipment setup and a briefing. Following a welcome dinner, the boat departs overnight for the Similan Islands.

  2. Day 2: Similan Islands

    Similan Islands

    The first day of diving is spent exploring the Similan Islands. Four dives are scheduled, including a sunset or night dive. The day's sites feature locations like West of Eden and Elephant Head Rock. In the afternoon, there is an opportunity for a beach excursion before the final dive of the day.

  3. Day 3: Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai

    Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai

    The day begins with a dive in the Similans before the boat travels to Koh Bon for two dives along its western and northern ridges. The day's diving concludes with a sunset or night dive at the famous Koh Tachai Pinnacle, known for attracting large schools of fish and other pelagics.

  4. Day 4: Richelieu Rock

    Richelieu Rock

    This day is entirely dedicated to diving at Richelieu Rock, one of Thailand's premier dive sites. Four dives are planned, allowing for thorough exploration of this isolated pinnacle. The site is celebrated for its incredible marine biodiversity, from tiny macro life to the possibility of whale shark sightings.

  5. Day 5: Koh Tachai & Koh Bon

    Koh Tachai, Koh Bon

    The final day of the trip includes two morning dives, starting at Koh Tachai Pinnacle and finishing at Koh Bon's South Bay. After the second dive, lunch is served as the boat begins its journey back to Thap Lamu Pier. Guests will disembark in the afternoon for transfer back to their hotels.
