Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation in Port Ghalib

    Board the vessel in Port Ghalib, where you'll get settled into your cabin and receive initial safety and itinerary briefings. The boat will remain docked in the marina overnight, preparing for the adventure ahead.

    Good to know: No diving on the first day as the boat stays in port.

  2. Day 2: Check Dives and Journey South

    Abu Dabbab, Elphinstone Reef

    The day begins with a check dive at a sheltered site like Abu Dabbab to ensure all equipment is in order. Afterwards, the boat moves to the famous Elphinstone Reef for two more dives along its vibrant walls before starting the overnight sail to the Brothers Islands.

    Good to know: Overnight sailing to the Brothers Islands.

  3. Day 3: Exploring the Brothers Islands

    Brothers Islands

    An entire day is dedicated to diving the Brothers Islands, renowned for their steep, coral-covered walls and frequent shark sightings. Dives will target both Big and Small Brother, potentially including the wrecks of the Numidia and Aida, subject to conditions.

    Dive sites: Big Brother, Small Brother

    Good to know: Overnight sailing to Daedalus Reef.

  4. Day 4: Hammerheads at Daedalus Reef

    Daedalus Reef

    Today is spent at Daedalus Reef, an isolated offshore reef famous for its iconic lighthouse and patrolling schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks. Dives will explore the pristine hard coral formations and deep walls in search of thrilling pelagic action.

    Dive sites: Daedalus Reef

    Good to know: Overnight sailing to Rocky Island.

  5. Day 5: Diving Rocky and Zabargad Islands

    Rocky Island, Zabargad Island

    The morning starts with two dives at Rocky Island, known for its dramatic drop-offs and strong currents that attract large fish. The vessel then travels to nearby Zabargad Island for a third dive, showcasing a different underwater landscape with unique formations.

    Dive sites: Rocky Island, Zabargad Island

    Good to know: Sailing overnight to the Elba Reef system.

  6. Day 6: First Day at Elba Reef

    Elba Reef

    Arriving at the remote Elba Reef on the Egypt-Sudan border, the day is dedicated to exploring this untouched region. Dives will uncover pristine coral gardens and plateaus, with the itinerary including a night dive to observe nocturnal marine life.

    Good to know: Includes a night dive, weather permitting.

  7. Day 7: Second Day Exploring Elba Reef

    Elba Reef

    A second full day is spent discovering the vast and uncrowded Elba Reefs. Dives may target sites with huge gorgonian fans and the potential for grey reef or hammerhead shark encounters, with another night dive planned after sunset.

    Good to know: Includes a night dive, weather permitting. This region is also home to the Levanzo wreck.

  8. Day 8: Final Day at Elba and Sailing North

    Elba Reef

    The final day at Elba offers a full schedule of day dives to explore more of this exclusive and pristine area. After the last dive in the afternoon, the vessel begins the overnight journey north towards the St. John's reef system.

    Good to know: Overnight sailing to St. John's.

  9. Day 9: Diving the St. John's Reef System

    St. John's Reef

    The day is spent exploring the diverse dive sites of St. John's, an area famous for its intricate network of tunnels, caverns, and stunning coral gardens. Dives will focus on the unique topography and abundant reef fish that characterize this southern region.

    Dive sites: St. John's Reef

    Good to know: Sailing overnight towards the Port Ghalib area.

  10. Day 10: Final Dives at Elphinstone

    Elphinstone Reef, Port Ghalib

    The itinerary comes full circle with two final morning dives at the iconic Elphinstone Reef, offering one last chance to experience its deep plateaus and rich marine life. Around noon, the boat begins its final sail back to the Port Ghalib marina.

    Dive sites: Elphinstone Reef

    Good to know: The boat returns to Port Ghalib and moors for the night.

  11. Day 11: Disembarkation

    Port Ghalib

    After a final breakfast on board, it is time to pack your bags and say goodbye to the crew. Guests will disembark in the morning to continue their travels or be transferred to the airport.

    Good to know: Disembarkation typically occurs after breakfast.
