Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation in Hurghada

Guests are welcomed aboard at El Foly Marina in Hurghada between 3 PM and 6 PM. After check-in, divers will settle into their cabins and attend a stateroom orientation. An initial dive gear setup and a welcome and safety briefing will be provided before dinner. Port authority authorizations will be finalized this evening.

  2. Day 2: Local Dives & Transit North

The day begins with departure from the marina, based on port authority authorization, and an initial dive briefing. Divers will conduct their first dives of the trip, likely at local sites near Hurghada, to ensure all gear is functioning correctly and to perform check-dives. The vessel will then transit north towards the main dive areas of the Northern Red Sea, with approximately 3-4 dives planned throughout the day, including night dives.

  3. Day 3: Abu Nuhas – Ship's Graveyard

Today focuses on the 'Ship's Graveyard' of Abu Nuhas, a submerged reef known for its collection of famous wrecks. Dives are typically planned on several of these, including the Giannis D, a Greek cargo ship, and the Carnatic, a 19th-century British vessel. These historic sites are now vibrant artificial reefs, completely overgrown with corals and home to diverse resident fish populations. Approximately 3-4 dives are planned for the day.

    Dive sites: Giannis D, Carnatic

  4. Day 4: SS Thistlegorm – WWII Wreck Exploration

This day is dedicated to exploring the iconic SS Thistlegorm, a World War II armed freighter sunk in 1941. The wreck lies at a depth of 32 meters and is renowned for its well-preserved cargo of military vehicles, motorcycles, and rifles. Multiple dives are typically conducted to thoroughly explore both the exterior and interior cargo holds, offering a unique historical and biological experience as soft corals now adorn its structure. Expect 3-4 dives on this impressive site.

    Dive sites: SS Thistlegorm

  5. Day 5: Ras Mohamed National Park – Reef & Wall Dives

The itinerary continues to Ras Mohamed National Park, a protected area known for its dramatic wall dives and vibrant coral gardens. Sites here often feature sheer drop-offs, strong currents, and a rich diversity of marine life. Divers can expect to encounter large schools of reef fish and potentially pelagic species along the walls. Typical sites in this area offer stunning underwater topography and abundant coral growth.

  6. Day 6: Straits of Tiran – Current-Swept Reefs

Today is dedicated to the renowned reefs in the Straits of Tiran, including Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Gordon Reefs. These sites are famous for their strong currents, which attract a wide array of marine life and create thrilling drift diving opportunities. The reefs feature impressive coral formations, ranging from shallow plateaus to dramatic walls. Expect exhilarating dives with the chance to spot various pelagic species.

Dive sites: Jackson Reef, Woodhouse Reef, Thomas Reef, Gordon Reef

  7. Day 7: Final Dives & Return to Hurghada

The final day of diving includes two morning dives, often in a selected spot in the Straits of Tiran or another suitable local reef en route back to Hurghada. Following these last underwater explorations, the yacht will begin its journey back to El Foly Marina. The afternoon is free for guests to relax, pack their belongings, and enjoy a cocktail party on board before dinner. Guests may also choose to go ashore in Hurghada.

  8. Day 8: Disembarkation in Hurghada
