Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation – Hurghada

Welcome to the Red Sea. Guests board the vessel in Hurghada in the afternoon, check into their cabins, and assemble their dive gear. The day includes a comprehensive boat briefing and safety procedures before dinner. The boat will typically remain in the marina overnight, departing for the first dive sites early the next morning.

  2. Day 2: Check Dives & Sha'ab El Erg

The first full day begins with check dives at a sheltered site near Hurghada, often Sha'ab El Erg, also known as 'Dolphin House'. This offers a great opportunity to fine-tune buoyancy and gear while exploring a beautiful reef system. These dives often feature encounters with the resident pod of bottlenose dolphins that resides in the area. Afterwards, the journey continues north towards the famous wreck sites.

    Dive sites: Sha'ab El Erg

  3. Day 3: Wrecks of Abu Nuhas

This day is dedicated to the legendary ship graveyard of Abu Nuhas. This submerged reef is notorious for capturing vessels, and divers can explore several wrecks lying close together. The plan includes dives on sites like the tile-carrying Giannis D and the 19th-century British steamship, the Carnatic. These structures are now encrusted in coral and have become thriving artificial reefs, attracting large schools of batfish and moray eels.

    Dive sites: Giannis D, Carnatic

  4. Day 4: The Legendary SS Thistlegorm

A highlight for many divers, today's focus is the world-famous SS Thistlegorm. This British WWII vessel lies in 30 meters of water and serves as an incredible underwater museum. Multiple dives allow for thorough exploration, from the ship's anti-aircraft guns on deck to its cargo holds, still packed with BSA motorcycles, Bedford trucks, and military supplies. A night dive here offers a completely different perspective, with nocturnal hunters emerging.

    Dive sites: SS Thistlegorm

  5. Day 5: Ras Mohammed National Park

Sailing to the Sinai Peninsula's southern tip, the day is spent in Ras Mohammed National Park. This protected area is famous for its dramatic walls and incredible fish life. Dives often center on the world-renowned Shark and Yolanda Reefs, where nutrient-rich currents attract massive schools of snappers, batfish, and barracuda. Keep an eye out for majestic Napoleon wrasse and graceful turtles cruising along the reef.

Dive sites: Shark Reef, Yolanda Reef

  6. Day 6: Straits of Tiran

The itinerary continues to the narrow Straits of Tiran, a passage known for its powerful currents and spectacular reefs. The diving here focuses on a series of four coral-covered pinnacles: Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Gordon Reef. These are typically drift dives along vertical walls adorned with huge gorgonian fans and soft corals, with the deep blue offering chances to spot reef sharks and, if lucky, hammerheads.

Dive sites: Jackson Reef, Woodhouse Reef, Thomas Reef, Gordon Reef

  7. Day 7: Northern Red Sea Diving

Today offers more opportunities to explore the vibrant Northern Red Sea reefs, ensuring a final day of memorable diving experiences. Sites may vary depending on weather and other conditions, but the focus remains on stunning coral formations and abundant marine life. Divers can expect to encounter diverse reef fish, colorful soft corals, and perhaps some larger pelagics in these rich waters.

  8. Day 8: Disembarkation in Hurghada

After a final breakfast on board, guests will disembark in Hurghada. The crew will be on hand to assist with luggage and pre-arranged airport transfers.
