Guests can anticipate a dynamic experience across Baa, Raa, Rasdhoo, North Ari, South Ari, and Vaavu atolls, concluding in Male.
Guests are welcomed aboard the Carpe Diem at Dharavandhoo, Maldives. After check-in and settling into cabins, a briefing will cover the week's itinerary and safety protocols. The vessel will depart based on domestic flight timings, preparing for the adventure ahead.
Today's dives focus on the rich waters of Baa and Raa Atolls. Baa Atoll is globally recognized for its UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status, particularly Hanifaru Bay, which is famous for seasonal manta ray and whale shark aggregations, predominantly in the summer. Raa Atoll offers diverse reef formations with abundant marine life, providing beautiful underwater scenery. Expect a mix of reef and channel dives, with one night dive planned (weather permitting).

Continuing the exploration of Baa and Raa Atolls, this day offers more opportunities for channel and reef dives. Raa Atoll's Rasdhoo-Madivaru area is known for its beautiful reef formations and potential for pelagic encounters. Divers can anticipate drift dives along channels, observing the diverse ecosystem. The evening will feature a barbecue on a beach, followed by another night dive if conditions are suitable, allowing observation of nocturnal marine species.

Today's itinerary moves toward Rasdhoo Atoll, which is celebrated for its rich pelagic life and unique reef structures, including impressive pinnacles. North Ari Atoll, particularly its good thilas (underwater pinnacles), offers excellent diving with strong currents that attract various schooling fish and larger predators. The day will involve 2-3 dives, focusing on exploring these underwater formations and observing the lively marine environment.
The focus for today is South Ari Atoll, an internationally recognized hotspot for whale shark sightings throughout the year. The area is known for its gentle giants, making it a prime location for snorkeling and diving encounters. Additionally, the famous Allimatha night dive in Vaavu Atoll (also known as Felidhe Atoll) is planned, offering a unique experience with nurse sharks. This day aims for memorable interactions with emblematic megafauna.

Today continues the exploration of South Ari Atoll, which is well-regarded for its channel dives often featuring pelagic species attracted by the currents. The itinerary includes further dives in Vaavu Atoll, known for its vibrant reefs and clear waters. Divers can expect up to three dives during the day, with one night dive scheduled based on weather conditions, providing more opportunities to observe the diverse Maldivian marine ecosystem.
The final diving day brings us to South Male Atoll, which is renowned for its exceptional channel dives and diverse marine life. This area offers excellent opportunities to encounter various pelagic species as currents sweep nutrients through the channels. Two last dives are scheduled for the trip, concluding the underwater exploration before guests prepare for disembarkation. Divers are advised to wait 24 hours before flying after their last dive.
