Upon arrival at the airport, guests will be transferred to the Aldebaran liveaboard. After a warm welcome briefing from the cruise director, cabin allocation will take place, and guests will receive an orientation to the ship. This is an ideal time to settle into cabins, set up dive equipment, and get comfortable for the journey ahead.
Today marks the beginning of diving at Daedalus Reef, a massive offshore reef in the Red Sea, easily identifiable by its distinctive lighthouse. The site is known for its sheer walls covered in extensive hard coral formations and a rich variety of reef fish. Strong currents often create fantastic drift diving opportunities, making it a prime location for pelagic encounters.
Continue exploring the spectacular Daedalus Reef, a renowned spot for encountering larger marine life. The deep, drop-off walls provide an ideal habitat for various shark species, including oceanic whitetips and grey reef sharks. Divers might also spot a solitary hammerhead shark or even schools of them. The vibrant coral gardens are teeming with diverse reef fish.
Enjoy more dives around the iconic Daedalus Reef, considered one of the most amazing dive sites in the Red Sea. The site's remote location ensures pristine conditions and abundant marine biodiversity. Divers can expect to drift along towering coral structures, observing the multitude of life that thrives in these nutrient-rich waters. Napoleon wrasses and turtles are commonly seen cruising the reef.
Transition to Elphinstone Reef, another celebrated dive destination in the Southern Red Sea. This elongated, offshore reef is famous for its dramatic drop-offs and strong currents, creating exhilarating drift dives. The walls are adorned with soft corals, gorgonians, and black corals, attracting a variety of reef fish and larger pelagic species. Elphinstone is particularly known for its shark encounters.
Spend another day diving at Elphinstone Reef, offering some of the most thrilling advanced diving in the Red Sea. Its exposed location means divers often encounter oceanic whitetip sharks and occasionally hammerheads patrolling the deeper sections. The reef's northern and southern plateaus are also points of interest, providing opportunities for diverse marine life sightings and stunning coral formations.

After a final breakfast on board, guests will check out from the Aldebaran. The crew will arrange transfers back to the airport for departure. It is recommended that divers wait at least 24 hours after their last dive before flying.
