The dive typically reaches a maximum depth of 30 meters (98 feet), navigating through the cavern environment where the striking bell-like stalagmites are the main attraction. Cenote diving, including at Zapote, generally requires strong buoyancy control and proficient air management due to the overhead environment and depth. Divers need to be Advanced Open Water certified or higher to safely explore this site.
