Radical transparency on the money
Every cost of a trip in one place — before you pay, not on the boat.

You see every cost of a trip — not just the headline price — in one click: marine park fees, nitrox, gear rental and transfers. Nothing hidden, nothing revealed at checkout. Liveaboard pricing is famously messy: a cabin advertised at $2,400 can easily end up at $3,200 once park fees, fuel surcharges, nitrox and transfers are added on the boat. We think that is the single biggest reason divers feel burned, so we list those costs on the trip page before you commit — in your own currency, with the exchange rate we actually use. What you calculate at home is what you pay, and any on-board extras are named up front so you can budget cash for them.
- Full cost breakdown, per trip. What's included and what isn't — nitrox, marine park fees, gear rental, airport transfers — shown before you book, not after.
- Cancellation and refund terms up front. Not buried in the fine print, but on the trip page itself, before you pay a deposit.
- No booking fee on top.You pay the operator's rate. Our commission comes from the boat, never as a surcharge on your invoice.
- Best price guarantee.Find the same cabin cheaper elsewhere and we will match it.
Because when things go wrong — a boat cancels, an itinerary changes, a crew issue comes up mid-trip — you have a person to call who isn't the same company you are currently frustrated with. We check the operator before you book and stay your point of contact if anything goes sideways during the trip. It costs you nothing extra, and in a bad week it is worth a great deal.

Real people, not a faceless platform
Divers answer your emails — not a booking engine with a marketing team.

Erol started Blue Rides after a liveaboard trip of his own went sideways. He now spends much of the year on boats, checking cabins, currents and crew so you do not have to. Certified since 2011, he is a PADI Advanced Open Water and Nitrox diver with more than 1,000 logged dives across the Red Sea, Indo-Pacific and Caribbean. He has slept on liveaboards from the Maldives to the Galapagos — Scubaspa Zen, Yin and Yang, Grand Discovery, Adventure, Omneia Soul and Spirit, Black Pearl in Palau, and several Aggressor fleets in the Cayman Islands, Galapagos and Belize — so he knows the difference between a well-run boat and one that looks good only in the photos. He also shoots underwater video with a Canon R5C in a Nauticam housing, so the trip footage you see on the site is often his own. He still answers emails and WhatsApp personally when he has signal, and he would rather tell you a trip is wrong for you than sell you the wrong one.

Erol's favourite seat is still the wet bench at the stern, camera rig between his knees and the next dive briefing a few minutes away. When he is not answering you personally, he is usually on one of the boats we list — sleeping in the cabins, eating the food, timing the briefings and watching how the crew treats a nervous diver. His notes decide which operators stay on the site, because if a boat is not good enough for him, it does not go online. That is the whole filter, and it is re-checked every season.

Kimber is certified since 2003 and has logged more than 400 dives. Her certifications include SSI Open Water, SSI Advanced, NSS - CDS Cavediver, NAUI Master and Advanced Nitrox. She has been on liveaboards such as Scubaspa Yang, Grand Discovery, Adventure and Blackbeards All Star. She keeps the operations, partnerships and the details behind your booking in order, making sure the boats we list match the standard we would want on our own trips — and that someone is there for you if anything needs fixing before you travel.

We're new. Here's why that matters.
A young agency with everything to prove — and nobody to hide behind.

Blue Rides is a young company. We are not going to pretend otherwise, and we are not going to hide it behind vague "trusted by thousands" language. What being new actually means for you: no call centres, no scripts and no layers between you and the person who built this because a trip of his own went badly wrong. What it does not mean: that we take vetting operators, pricing or safety any less seriously — if anything, we have more to prove, so we check harder.
It also means every review on this site is real and recent, our company registration is public, and you can reach a founder by phone during office hours. Small is not a risk here — it is the reason nothing about your booking gets lost in a queue.

How we check every boat
Reviewed before it is listed — never added just because an operator asked.

A liveaboard is not a hotel you can walk out of. For a week you depend on the crew's judgement, the compressor, the tender and the emergency plan, so we look at those things before we look at the commission. We cross-check the operator's company details, the vessel's specs and safety equipment, cabin layouts and the itineraries they actually run, and we read what past guests wrote across the web instead of trusting a star rating. Where an operator will not answer basic questions, the boat does not go on the site — and boats that pick up recurring complaints come back off it.
- Operator and vessel details verified.Company, vessel specs, cabins and itineraries are cross-checked against the operator's own material before a boat goes live.
- Safety equipment and crew questions asked directly.Nitrox handling, oxygen on board, tender and emergency procedures — we ask the operator, and we tell you what they answered.
- Guest feedback is read, not just counted. We aggregate real guest reviews from across the web and flag recurring issues instead of hiding them behind an average score.
- Insurance you can add before you go.We work with Divers Alert Network so dive accident cover is one click away.

Talk to a real person before you book
A $2,000–$7,000 decision deserves more than an FAQ page.

Tell us your certification level, how many dives you have logged and what you want to see, and we will tell you which boats fit — and which ones to skip. No sales script, no pressure to book on the call, and no obligation if you decide to think it over or go elsewhere. Most questions are answered the same day; on WhatsApp usually within minutes during office hours.

Your payment is protected
Stripe and Wise handle the money — never a private account.
You never send money to a private account or an anonymous overseas transfer. Card payments run through Stripe, bank transfers through Wise, and both are encrypted end to end — we never see or store your card number. You pay a deposit to hold the cabin and the balance closer to departure, so most of your money stays with you until the trip is confirmed. Every payment produces a proper invoice from a registered German company you can look up.
