The White Wagtail is a slim black, white and grey bird often noticed running along open ground. BTO describes rapid tail-wagging and pursuit of insect prey. The three river associations have different evidence: a lower Saône biodiversity guide, a historical Nile cruise report and a Douro estuary occurrence listing.
