Adélie Penguin

The Adélie penguin is the quintessential Antarctic penguin — a tuxedo-clad bundle of energy found along the entire Antarctic coastline. These small, feisty penguins form enormous colonies of hundreds of thousands of breeding pairs and are known for their comic personality, curious nature, and impressive determination. They were named by French explorer Jules Dumont d'Urville for his wife, Adèle.
