About Hanifaru Bay

Reserva da Biosfera da UNESCO no Atol de Baa, mundialmente famosa por grandes agregações de alimentação de raias-manta durante a monção de sudoeste (junho a novembro). Até 200 raias-manta-de-recife circulam em formação, alimentando-se de plâncton denso concentrado pelas correntes de maré neste anfiteatro natural. Tubarões-baleia também visitam regularmente, tornando este um dos espetáculos de vida marinha mais espetaculares do planeta.
