Prende il nome dagli squali leopardo (Stegostoma fasciatum) che frequentano questa baia sabbiosa vicino all'isola di Moucha. Un dolce pendio conduce a un fondale sabbioso dove numerosi squali leopardo riposano durante il giorno, spesso accompagnati da remore e razze a nastro punteggiate di blu (Taeniura lymma).
