Blue Shark

The blue shark is one of the most beautiful and wide-ranging sharks in the ocean, with a slender, elegant body and striking indigo-blue colouration. Found in every ocean, they are the most prolific pelagic shark species. The Azores offer some of the world's best blue shark diving, with open-water encounters in crystal-clear Atlantic water.

Dyktips

Blue shark encounters are typically done on drift dives or with attractants in open water. Stay calm and maintain eye contact. They are curious but generally not aggressive. The deep blue Atlantic water provides stunning photography opportunities.
