Dining on board is a refined experience that highlights both French culinary flair and international favorites. Guests enjoy a full-board meal plan featuring a mix of buffet-style breakfasts and elegant set-menu dinners, often accompanied by complimentary wine. The onboard chefs prioritize fresh, local ingredients to create dishes that reflect the regions the ship traverses, ensuring a complete gastronomic journey.
The MS France focuses on immersive land-based exploration rather than water-based activities. Guests enjoy a variety of guided shore excursions that delve into the rich cultural and historical tapestry of the regions visited. These outings are led by knowledgeable local guides who provide context to the architectural landmarks, museums, and historic sites encountered along the riverbanks. Excursions are designed to be accessible and engaging, ranging from leisurely walking tours through charming medieval villages to more structured visits to iconic cities and seasonal events like Christmas markets. The pace is generally relaxed, allowing travelers to soak in the atmosphere of each destination at a comfortable speed, ensuring a deep connection with the local heritage and traditions of the Rhine and Danube regions.
