Sindalahs

About Sindalahs

The Sindalahs offers exceptional access to Egypt's Red Sea, a dynamic marine environment with extensive coral formations and significant pelagic activity.

High evaporation rates and minimal exchange with the open ocean give the Red Sea its distinct character, with high salinity and warm temperatures. This unique aquatic environment supports expansive fringing reefs that drop into a deep central trough, creating habitats for both endemic reef fish and transient pelagic species. It is across this north-to-south expanse of walls, wrecks, and offshore pinnacles that the Sindalahs operates. This 38-meter vessel is a modern platform for dive exploration, purpose-built to navigate these waters and provide access to the full spectrum of Egyptian dive sites. Diving is organized for efficiency. The main dive deck provides ample space for kitting up at individual gear stations. Fresh water rinse hoses and DIN adaptors are available. Two tenders, each with a Yamaha 115 engine, transport small groups directly to the optimal entry points of each site. This minimizes surface swims and maximizes dive time. An experienced team of local guides leads all excursions, providing detailed briefings on navigation, safety, and potential marine life. Their knowledge of the area's currents and topography is essential for accessing the region's more rewarding locations. Life aboard is structured around diver comfort. The vessel accommodates 26 guests in 13 private cabins, offered as suites or double/twin layouts on both lower and upper decks. With 17 bathrooms onboard, convenience is a priority. For social time, guests can gather in the air-conditioned indoor saloon or enjoy the sea air on the open observation and sun decks. These outdoor spaces provide room for relaxation between dives or for watching the coastal scenery. Onboard WiFi service is available, allowing guests to stay connected while offshore. The culinary program is central to the daily routine. The onboard chef prepares a varied menu of international and local Egyptian dishes, served three times a day. Meals are typically presented buffet-style in the main saloon, offering a wide selection. Snacks and refreshments are also available throughout the day. The kitchen team can accommodate most special dietary requirements with advance notice. A selection of soft drinks, juices, and other beverages is available to complement the meals or for enjoyment in the evening. Constructed in 2024, Sindalahs is a modern steel-hulled vessel measuring 38 meters in length with a wide 8.4-meter beam for stability at sea. A planned refurbishment in 2025 will keep its systems and interiors current. Power is supplied by twin Doosan v222TIM engines, each producing 788 horsepower. This allows for a cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 14 knots, enabling efficient transit between distant dive regions. The ship's design and powerful propulsion make it a comfortable vessel for week-long voyages and open-water crossings. Sindalahs operates itineraries across the Egyptian Red Sea. Northern routes, departing from Hurghada, focus on the wrecks of Abu Nuhas and the SS Thistlegorm, plus the walls of Ras Mohamed National Park. Southern itineraries, starting from Port Ghalib, venture to remote offshore systems like the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef, and Elphinstone. These trips are geared towards encounters with pelagic species, including various sharks. This vessel is an excellent choice for certified divers seeking to explore either Egypt’s classic wrecks or its famous southern marine parks from a comfortable, modern, and service-oriented liveaboard.
