Indo Master

About Indo Master

The Indonesian archipelago, a convergence point of major ocean currents, sustains a diverse and productive marine environment.

The flow of water through the Indonesian archipelago is one of the planet's great oceanographic events. This massive exchange, connecting the Pacific and Indian Oceans, generates a spectrum of underwater conditions, from the current-swept channels of Komodo to the tranquil, species-rich reefs of Raja Ampat. The resulting marine biodiversity is extraordinary, encompassing everything from pygmy seahorses and cryptic crustaceans to schooling hammerheads and oceanic manta rays. To explore this dynamic region, the Indo Master was conceived. It is a modern expeditionary vessel built to provide a stable and comfortable platform for divers seeking access to Indonesia's most significant marine habitats. Diving is conducted from two sizable support tenders, allowing for precise drop-offs and pick-ups at each site, regardless of surface conditions. This system gives divers direct entry to the action, minimizing long surface swims. The main vessel features a spacious, well-organized dive deck at the stern, with individual gear stations for all 18 guests. After each dive, freshwater rinse tanks for suits and equipment are readily available. A dedicated indoor camera room provides a dry, well-lit space for photographers to manage their equipment, with ample charging points and storage. All dives are led by experienced local guides who possess deep knowledge of the region's topography and marine life behavior. Nitrox is available for certified divers, extending bottom time on the country's world-class reefs. Accommodation for 18 guests is spread across nine private cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom and individual climate control. The cabin configurations are varied, including Classic Twin, Classic Double, Premium Suites, and a Superior Double Suite with a private balcony, offering options for different group sizes and preferences. Social life on board is split between comfortable indoor and outdoor areas. An air-conditioned main saloon serves as a central hub for dining, briefings, and evening relaxation. Outside, a shaded lounge area offers a cool retreat, while the expansive, open-air sundeck is the perfect spot for watching the volcanic landscapes pass by or for stargazing in these remote waters. The vessel's design emphasizes both private comfort and communal spaces for sharing the day's experiences. The onboard chef prepares a varied menu of international and Indonesian cuisine, ensuring guests are well-fueled for multiple dives a day. Meals are typically served buffet-style in the main saloon, offering a wide selection of fresh dishes. The day begins with a light pre-dive breakfast, followed by a full cooked breakfast after the first dive. Lunch and dinner feature a mix of proteins, fresh vegetables, and salads. Snacks, fruit, and refreshments are available throughout the day to keep divers hydrated and energized. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notification at the time of booking. A selection of soft drinks, juices, tea, and coffee is included, with beer and wine available for purchase. Indo Master is a modern steel-hulled motor yacht, delivered in 2022 and updated in 2024 to maintain its high operational standards. At 46.9 meters in length with a broad 7.9-meter beam, the vessel offers substantial stability and generous onboard space, minimizing motion during open-water crossings. It is powered by two reliable marine engines, providing a cruising speed of 5 knots, which is ideal for navigating the archipelago's diverse sea conditions efficiently and safely. The steel construction and modern design contribute to a quieter and more comfortable journey, allowing guests to rest properly between dives, even on longer itineraries that traverse the open waters of the Banda or Flores Seas. The vessel's schedule is structured around Indonesia's prime diving seasons, offering itineraries through Raja Ampat, Komodo, and the Banda Sea. Raja Ampat trips typically run from October to April, exploring the area's famed biodiversity. From May to September, the focus shifts to the strong currents and megafauna of Komodo National Park. Special crossover and Banda Sea voyages are offered during the transitional months, targeting unique marine events like schooling hammerheads. As the vessel does not have guest-accessible WiFi, it is best suited for dedicated divers and photographers who want to disconnect and fully immerse themselves in the expedition. The itineraries are designed for experienced divers comfortable with a range of conditions, including strong currents and deep-water sites.
