About Ghazala Adventure

The Red Sea, a narrow oceanic basin, supports a rich and concentrated marine ecosystem, which the 43-meter Ghazala Adventure explores with up to 26 guests.

Egypt's Red Sea is an oceanographic outlier, a semi-enclosed body of water with high evaporation rates that create a warm, saline environment. These conditions have fostered a high degree of endemism, with many species found nowhere else on Earth. Its submarine landscape is one of stark contrasts, from shallow, sunlit fringing reefs to deep canyons and dramatic drop-offs. This topography supports a dense concentration of marine life, including vibrant coral gardens, schools of pelagic fish, and historically significant wreck sites. The Ghazala Adventure, launched in 2024, was conceived as a modern and capable platform for exploring both the famed northern routes and the remote southern reefs of this singular sea. Dive logistics are managed for efficiency and comfort. Two powerful Rigid Inflatable Boats, each fitted with 115HP Yamaha engines, transport divers swiftly to the action, minimizing transit time and maximizing underwater exploration. Upon return, the spacious, shaded dive deck provides individual gear stations, freshwater rinse hoses, and easy access to personal storage. Photographers and videographers will appreciate the dedicated indoor camera room, which offers numerous charging points and ample workbench space for equipment maintenance. All dives are led by experienced local guides who possess an intimate knowledge of the currents, topography, and marine life behavior specific to each site. Between dives, the vessel provides a range of comfortable living spaces. The fifteen cabins accommodate a maximum of 26 guests, with configurations including twin, suite, and dedicated single staterooms across both the upper and lower decks. Every cabin is air-conditioned and features a private ensuite bathroom, ensuring personal space and convenience. The main social hub is the large indoor saloon, a climate-controlled area for dining, briefings, or relaxing with a book from the onboard library. For those preferring fresh air, several outdoor decks offer shaded seating and open areas to take in the expansive sea views. The onboard chef prepares a varied menu that combines international flavors with local Egyptian influences. Meals are typically served buffet-style in the main saloon, offering a wide selection to suit different tastes. The galley team is prepared to accommodate most special dietary requirements with advance notification, ensuring all guests are well-catered for throughout the trip. Snacks are available between dives, and a selection of soft drinks, tea, and coffee is always on hand. The vessel also features a bar area where guests can purchase alcoholic beverages to enjoy at the end of the diving day. A product of 2024, the Ghazala Adventure is a modern, steel-hulled motor yacht designed for stability and long-range cruising. The vessel measures 43 meters in length with a broad 9.5-meter beam, a design choice that enhances stability both underway and at anchor, reducing roll and increasing onboard comfort. Power is provided by two reliable Cummins KTA 38 engines, enabling a steady cruising speed of 12 knots. This engineering ensures efficient travel between distant dive regions, allowing for itineraries that cover extensive areas of the Red Sea with minimal time spent on open-water crossings. Ghazala Adventure operates year-round, offering a variety of itineraries that showcase the best of the Egyptian Red Sea. Depending on the season, routes may focus on the classic northern sites, including the Ras Mohamed National Park and the wrecks of Abu Nuhas, or venture south to the legendary offshore reefs of the Brothers Islands, Daedalus, and Elphinstone. Trips typically depart from and return to Hurghada or Port Ghalib. With its dedicated camera facilities, comfortable accommodations, and availability of single cabins, this liveaboard is an excellent choice for underwater photographers, solo travelers, and any diver seeking a modern, purpose-built platform for exploring the Red Sea's most compelling dive sites.
