Yellowfin Tuna

The yellowfin tuna is one of the ocean's most powerful and streamlined predators. Named for its vivid yellow dorsal and anal fins, this pelagic marvel can reach speeds of over 75 km/h, making it one of the fastest fish in the sea. Yellowfin tuna travel in large schools and are a spectacular sight during sardine runs and baitball events off Mexico's Pacific coast.

Sukellusvinkit

Yellowfin tuna are fast and wary. The best encounters happen during baitball events and sardine runs, where they come close in feeding frenzies. Stay calm, move slowly, and avoid sudden movements. Freediving often yields closer encounters than scuba.
